Wide raked forks, big front laced wheels, the low seat and forward controls on the Dyna Wide Glide are the basis for endless customisation. Bikes with the 1450cc (88-ci) carburetted engine breathe better with aftermarket stage 1 cleaning kits and replacement carbs to balance the fuelling, while pushing spent gases through wider tubed exhaust pipes. Older bikes may need new lifters, pushrods or cams to get all that torque down. Riders can also go the traditional path of increasing displacement with big-bore cylinder and piston kits, new clutch kits to spread out power, or revised pulley and sprocket combos to tune throttle response. Add new seating where needed, throw in uprated springs and shocks (or a lowering kit) and deal with mechanical issues with new gasket and seal sets.
