Anti-vapor lock formulation maintains responsiveness and performance by fighting vaporization and viscosity loss. Advanced chemistry resists corrosion, oxidation and is compatible with SBR, EPDM and natural rubbers. Offers a very high dry boiling point, is non-aggressive and safe for paint, plastics surfaces, clothing and such. Note that DOT 5 silicone is not hygroscopic so will not absorb water like regular brake fluids do. Therefore the brake system must be drained 100% to prevent any water-pockets remaining anywhere in the system which may cause vapor-lock and total brake failure. DOT 5 silicone is not very foam resistant and therefore not compatible with ABS or ASR/TCS systems. DOT 5 silicone cannot be mixed with other brake fluids.
